شناسایی، جمع آوری، ارزیابی گونه ها و ارقام مرغوب ‭Ziziphus ‬از استانهای جنوب و پیوند آنها بر روی پایه های بذری به منظور ایجاد کنارستان در باغ گیاه شناسی فدک دزفول

Several species and varieties of Ziziphus were considered for plantation as collection under main research project titled: Botanical Garden of khozestan province. For this reason, 0.6 ha. Of the Botanical Garden was allocted for collection. After soil preparation , species and varieties collection from Southern and South western parts of Iran has been started. About 40 species and varieties were propagated by grafting and seedling and planted in the collection, but only 24 cases were successful. Budding was the main methodused for propagation which was applied on adult rootstocks. The native seedlings of Ziziphus had been planted at the collection due to their high resistance to local harash climate condition, as root stocks and scions of seven collected varieties were rebudded on them. the predicted number of Ziziphus varieties in the collection is 60 (two plants pervariety). It is expected to import few exotic species and varieties of Ziziphus to increase the collection capacity.
