چکیده طرح پژوهشی:

In order to provide suitable genetic variation which is basically the work ground of a breeder and with the aim of combining supeiior genotypes and transfer of important characteristics like disease resistance to the wheat lines with high yield potential through hybridization this trial was done. In this trial 183 local and improved wheat lines and varieties along with 192 F 1 generations from last season crosses were investigated. These lines and varieties have been divided to different groups which were improved Iranian cultivars, dwarf ness sources, cold tolerant, drought tolerant, salinity tolerant, shattering resistant, yellow and brown rust resistant, resistant to BYDV, good grain appearance, long spike, high tillering capacity, good combining ability, good bread making quality and finally high yield potential. In this study 52 single crosses with aims of resistance to yellow rust and resistance to shattering were performed among different lines and varieties. Out of these, 47 crosses led to seed formation and considered for evaluation and complementary crossing in next crop season. Also 53 F1 generations, which were output of last season crosses were evaluated for disease resistance and general vigor. After elimination of susceptible and poor entries, 244 complementary crossing programs including top cross with a third variety or backcrossing with one of the parents were performed on them. Moreover, 138 F1 generations resulted from last season (2005-2006) complementary crosses were evaluated for vigor and disease resistance and after elimination of susceptible and poor entries, seed of rest was harvested to be considered as P 2 seed for temperate zone stations engaged in selection practice.
