Considering the problem of land salinity and its widespread in Iran, and the fact that these lands are expanding rapidly, it is necessary to pay more attention regarding it. Land salinity and halophytes have different dimensions that occasionally have been studied by different people and organization. But completed studies that consider all the aspects is not availble. The results obtained from the experiment indicated that 11 species of halophyte are classified in Khuzestan province, but according to these results and factual expeience on the ground, at present, become of sufficient water in Khuzestan, a large area of these types converted to agricultural areas and particularly on the base of salinity and hydrology only 7 types of plants are available as a critical center of salinity in areas of 1028634 hactares. Out of above total areas about 187534 hectares are wetlands that have potential in forage production, and are good source of cellulose. Aeluepus- Halocnemum types are avialble in 50500 hectare with 75% canopy and are of considerable types which qualified for animal husbandry. Halocnemum_ Salicornia hectares and has a high canopy coverage TOO, that there are a large uncultivated lands in margin of this plant type which have potential for investing capital and beneficial of halophytes.
