چکیده طرح پژوهشی:

This study was carried out to identify high yielding lines/cultivars in comparison to the commercial cultivars for CW ANA regions. Two different experiments including 384 lines were studied in this study. 120 lines and cultivars including control were studied in first experiment, in three experimental field stations (Dezful, Khorramabad & Darab) in southern dry and warm zone, using complete block design with three replications. 264 lines and cultivars, including control were studied in second experiment in two experimental field stations (Dezful, & Darab) with the same experimental design. The lines were compared with cv. Chamran and other checks (international checks), regarding grain yield, agronomic performance, adaptability as well as reaction to major diseases in the target areas. These lines were also studied for their reaction to major diseases in known hot spots for Yellow Rust (YR), Leaf Rust (LR), powdery mildew' Septerios etc. In special diseases nurseries, under natural and artificial inoculating conditions in two stations (Karaj and Gorgan). Yield potential, desired agronomic characteristics and reaction to major diseases were considered as the main criteria in final evaluation and selection. Statistics as mean grain yield and agronomic characteristics were used in selection of superior lines. Selected lines had higher grain yield at least in two location and desired agronomic characteristic: flowering time, plant height (90 - 110 cm), tolerance/resistance to major diseases, suitable physiological maturity period, desired grain color (Amber is preferred). The best lines based on the above criteria were selected to be studied in the AllSWIP screening nursery CW ANA in CW ANA regions and also introduced to Crossing block of this program in the 2006 -07 cropping season.
