The Selection of segregated materials are most important stages in barley breeding program.So the selection of suitable plants help to obtain high yield potential and wide adapted barley lines/varieties.The segregation of population starts from F2 generation and it continues many generations, and different compound occurs between mothers and fathers characters , so with evaluating of each single plants in different growth stages, the desirable single plants with high yield potential, best agronomic characters and without a weaky- point can be select.In this study 91 populations of F2 generation of barley which were received from karaj and 28 generations from F3 and F4 (20 generations from F3 and 8 generations from F4)and 176 single plants from F5 , F6 and F7 generations were evaluated .The modified bulk method was used for selecting of segregated materials.Thereby about 20-30 desirable spikes were selected from each of selected F2 and F3 generations.Therefore the selected spikes threshed, bulked and perpared for future evaluations.The pedigree method was used for selecting of materials in other generations.Each population of F2, F3 to F4 and F5 to Fn generations were planted in 6 rows with 20m , 10m and 2.5 m Length respectively.In this study 17 desirable generations from F2, 85desirable generations from F3, 8 desirable single plants from F4 , 4 desirable single plants from F5, 31 derirable single plants from F6 and 98 desirable single plants from F7 for evaluating in future studies were selected.Therefore 11 purelines which were obtained from F5-Fn generations with high yield potentials, best agronomic characters and diseases tolerance were selected and for future evaluating and contribution in PRBYT-C of future year they were sent to karaj.
