Seed germination is a major factor that limit the establishment of plants under saline condition. In order to introduce salt tolerace cultivars for using in breeding programs. genetic diversity of 30 wheat genotypes against salt tolerance in two experiments was evaluated. In the first experiments response of 30 genotypes at germination stage. an experiment was conducted using different Nacl salinity levels 0, 150, 300 and 450 m Mol Nacl. In this experiment wheat accessions of Iranian national plant gene bank Promising lines and salt tolerace cultivars were evaluated Consequcntly genotypes of Kavir, Roshan, 20 sarasari, Shahi Cross, EWRYT-5 and EWRYT-7 were selected based on final Germination Percentage and seedlet dry weight. In the second experiment selected genotypes at germintation stage were imbibed in 0, 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 350, 400 and 450 m M Nacl by split plot design in a complete random block design with three replications. Final Germination Percentage (fGP), Germination Rate (GR). Median Germination Time (MGT), Germination Uniformity (GU), seedlet dry weight, radicle and plumule length were determined. The results showed that no difference among selected genotypes but Shahi Cross and EWRYT-7 more salt tolerance than the others. It was Observed that fGP was significant and positively associated with all traits. Also MGT showed significant and negative association with FGP. GU and seedlet dry weight.
