چکیده طرح پژوهشی:

In order to analyze factor productivity and to evaluate different productive properties of broiler rearing farms at 1376 and 1377 in Oom province, 53 and 44 farms were randomly chosen and data from their last production period were filled in questionnaires. In each period, descriptive analysis were done and the best production function were estir:nated together with estimation them for small and large scale(with respect to 12000 chicks capacity) and factor productivity, optimum factor allocation and scale production comparison were studied. Large scale fanTIs of, both period had 'lower and performance and farmes age; education and duration of' activity had not so much effect, . on it! whereas lJsing of mixers decreased it. In both period; Cobb - Douglas functions were the best fitted ones and feed elasticity were greatest and the most important. Higiene' elasticity were low-negative and those of capital and labour were nonsignificant low-positive in first period and low negative in the second period. Farmer's education and duration of farmer's activity were fitted for first and second period respectively. . Return to scale were 0.7 and 0.843 for whole farms of two periods, therefore diminishing. VMP xi /P xi for feed factor 'Pf both period were 1.08 and 1.38 and for labour 1.97 and 3.49 respectively and showed that utilization of this inputs were u~der optimum level specially in second period. Scale analysis showed that in first period feed elasticity of large farms were greater than small ones and in 2nd period reversed. Capital elasticity of large-farms"iri two periods were negative and positive respectively but that of small ones were in reverse. In 2nd period , increasing education level of large scale managers increased production. Feed VMP xi /P xi of large farms in 1st period was greater than small farms and in 2nd period equal. On the basis of the result of this experiment', it seems that in chaotic macroeconomics and uncertain condition of input acquisition, small farms are more compatible. Feed shortage will result to negation of other input's elasticity. Higienic expenses .must decrease and veterinary control institutions must find suitable means for optimizing of the higienic inputs, specially vaccines and drugs. Labour utilization must increase in respect to its low price. ,KEY WORDS : Production function, Productivity, Broiler, Cobb - Douglas Function. Input. Output
