چکیده طرح پژوهشی:
Role of plant population on increasing yield potential of sorghum (sorghum- bicolor L.) and its effect on different growth factors has been reported by several researchers. with emphasis on the results obtained from 1986 to 1988 and 1991 -1989 sorghum bicolorr L. var Sugar graze WAS selected as a promissing Cul tivar for this experiment. Aim of this study was to find the relationship between row spacing and grouth factors. Three years ot study from 1992 -1990 showed a signifi cant difference at 5% level of green forage prOdact, in which rOw spatcing of 30 cm and 45 cm with 4.228 T/ha and 4.212 T ha respectively were supe rior to other treatments. Average forage yield from year 1992 -1990 showed a significant diff erences at 1% Level. The year 1992 with an average yield of 5.229 T ha was superior to others. from the point of dry matter yield and forage crude protein, the trend was simillar, so there was no significant differen ces among treatments As it was mentioned the dry matter and crude protein yield was more in third year with 36.45 T/ha dry matter production and 09.3 T/ha protein comparing 1991 -1990 at 1% Level. Prussic acid accumulations as a negative factor, wich acts as a barrier and cattle feeding was also studied. theresult showed no signif icant difference dmong all treatments. The effect of year differences were simillar to crude protein and dry matter yield, so that the year 1992 wich least prussic acid production was better than the other 2 years. we conclude that the intra row spacing did influence the forage yield, but did not effect other factors under study.
