چکیده مقاله:

Introduction: About ۲ billion people all over the world using smartphones. Mobile's smartness and different functions became a strong reason for excessive use of this device and it triggered concerns about overuse all over the world. Methods and materials: Included databases were Pubmed, Ovid, Web of Science, and Scopus from January ۲۰۰۰and January ۲۰۱۷. Word terms used included Smartphone, mobile, addiction, internet, overuse, problematic use.Results: Prevalence of mobile and internet addiction is varying in different countries. People with internet addiction showed higher percentage of psychiatric problems such as anxiety, depression, stress, insomnia, and low self-esteem which affecting community health.About ۵۰ percent of the people have been disregarded by their spouse due to mobile phone use, and more than a third of them have been depressed for this reason. The researchers found that paying excessive attention and attachment to Smartphone as well as internet overuse makes spouses more unsatisfied. The findings from different studies in this area exhibited that internet and Smartphone addiction was directly related to the disregarding behaviors caused by excessive attention paid to Smartphones.Conclusion: According to daily use of internet and mobile phones and their significant role in our lives, addiction and its effect on our relationships in communities must consider as an important issue. Unfortunately very few studies have been done on the prevention of Internet addiction. However prevention is safer and easier than treatment. Therefore, more attention must be paid on prevention studies.
