The main strategic variables for agricultural development

Detection the key influence variables of agricultural system through modeling its scenarios and strategies is an immense challenge. The aim of this paper is to introduce an integrated method to deal with this problem. MICMAC and AHP were used to determine the variables and to weigh them. The case of Iran was used to illustrate the application of this integrated methodology. The results show that strategic variables had different types of influence and direct, indirect, and potential dependencies that did not have the same importance. Introduced method not only considers these differences, but also puts a total priority weight for each variable.
