چکیده مقاله:

Background and purpose: biosurfactants are extracellular amphiphilic biological compounds or part of cell membranes produced by a variety of microorganisms. This bacterium has great potential for biotechnology applications. Therefore, they can be used as dietary supplements, cosmetics and products. The aim of this study was to investigate the antibacterial effects of a biosurfactant produced by Bacillus cereus.Results: Biosurfactants have low toxicity, higher biodegradability, higher environmental compatibility and their ability to be synthesized in renewable sources, their multifunctionality and stable activity under harsh environmental conditions such as very high temperature or very low temperature or pH advantage. Biosurfactants are based on chemical surfactants. The nature of the lipopeptide biosurfactant produced by this bacterium has antibacterial activity.Method: This review study relevant information from search databases Pub med ,Scopus ,Google Scholer & Magiran.Data analysis was performed qualitatively.Conclusion: Bacillus cereus has a high ability to reduce surface tension and biosorfactant production has high antibacterial effects. Therefore, it has great potential for biotechnology and environmental applications.
