چکیده مقاله:

Introduction and goal; Any radiation, whether moving particles or electron waves, that has enough energy to produce ions in a substance is known as radiation and ionizing. And exposure refers to the amount of radiation that a person is exposed to. The sources of radiation are: cosmic rays, secondary radiation and radioactive materials. Ionizing radiation to the body causes energy in the tissues and chemical changes in the cells. The biological effects of ionizing radiation depend not only on the absorbed dose, but also on the properties and quality of the irradiated radiation. The purpose of writing this article is to get acquainted with the diseases caused by the work environment and the adverse effects of ionizing radiation on employees.Materials and methods; In the present study, relevant information was searched from Pub med, Scopus, Google Scholer and Magiran databases. Data analysis was performed qualitatively.findings; Contamination of healthy skin with radioactive materials is often observed during the transportation of these materials. Methods to prevent or reduce the absorption and entry of radionuclides into the body include removing skin contamination, proper treatment of infected wounds, and reducing gastrointestinal absorption. After the occurrence of contamination and internal exposure to radioactive materials, with the help of the following two ways, the amount of radiation to different parts of the body can be reduced: ۱- by reducing the absorption of radioactive materials and replacing them with harmless materials, ۲- by removing and disappearing. Eliminate absorbed material. Conclusion; There are a number of chemical compounds that can increase the excretion of metals through chelation. In this method, an organic compound combines with the metal to form a soluble complex that is easily excreted by the kidneys. This can be done for radionuclides, thereby minimizing the time it takes for the substance to be present in the body.
