Disability rate and causes among Iranian health care workers during ۱۹۹۹-۲۰۱۷

This retrospective, cohort study has been conducted among health care workers from ۱۹۹۹ till ۲۰۱۷ to determine the main causes and associated factors of disability and early- retirement. The mean age and working history of subjects were ۴۷ and ۲۰ years, respectively. Approximately, half of the subjects were female and had a master's degree, the majority of them were married and about half of them had two children and more. In the current study, the mean sick-leave days were ۲۶۷ days and about two-thirds of them were working in the clinical wards. The highest and lowest disability incidence rate was ۵۳ and ۵ per ۱۰۰۰۰۰ employees in ۲۰۰۹ and ۲۰۱۷, respectively.
