Determination of rock type using Winland and SMLP methods and combining it with petrophysical analysis of well logging Bangestan reservoir in Shadegan oil field.

Carbonate reservoirs usually have a wide range of porosity and permeability; for this purpose, in this study, we classify reservoir rocks in the study field. Analysis of both hydraulic flow units (HFU) and petrophysical rock typing (PRT) was performed mainly with using core porosity and permeability data. HFU detection was performed by basinclassification of the reservoir on its cumulative flow capacity using stratigraphic modified Lorenz plot (SMLP), while PRT detection was determined based on the Winland R۳۵ diagram. Then, finally, using the data of well logging diagrams of each well, lithology and porosity diagrams were drawn along with the storage capacity and flow capacitydiagrams in terms of depth for each well and separately for the formation. Using the Winland method rock type were divided into two main groups based on the pore radius. According to the modified Lorenz diagram based on the flow capacity in terms of cumulative storage capacity, stratigraphic order of each was drawn. After drawing Lorenz diagrams, four types of flow units were identified in stratigraphic order. According to the plotted diagrams, the cumulative flow capacity and the cumulative storage capacity in terms of depth, the flow units were plotted in order of depth next to the other columns. In one column, diagrams of porosity from the core and porosity from the well logging were also plotted. Comparing the columns for each well led to complete results on the reservoir quality of each flow zone.
