Omega ۳ concentrated oil production using combination oils by membrane process technique

In this study, membrane filtration method was used to concentrate omega ۳ unsaturated fatty acid in fish oil. Pure PVDF membranes, containing ۱۵-۱۹ wt% polymer, were fabricated by wet phase inversion technique and separation properties of fish oil and a combination of sesame and fish oils were evaluated using Gas Chromatography. This test showed that the ۱۷ %wt pure PVDF membrane are the best membrane for oil fish and sesame and fish combination oils (respectively ۲۸.۵۳% and ۲۱.۷۶%). Another membrane properties were characterized by SEM test. It indicated that the pore sizes of membranes are in the range of ultrafiltration.
