Introduction: In general, ۸۰ to ۹۰% of cancers are environmental and lifestyle-related, in which the role of diet is between ۳۰-۳۵% of cancer deaths, so it is estimated that at least one third of all cancers are preventable. This article has been written with the aim of reviewing the nutritional measures of Iranian and modern medicine regarding the prevention and adjuvant treatment of cancer. Materials and Methods: This article is a review and purposeful with certain criteria by searching the valid sources of Iranian medicine and some domestic and international scientific databases such as SID, PubMed, with related keywords, without restrictions. Results: In the sources of Iranian medicine, implicitly along with the introduction of six principles of maintaining health, especially the introduction of foods with "Taryaqiat" (or antioxidant) properties such as some vegetables and fruits or avoiding excessive and permanent consumption of "Sowdaza" substances, such as meat salts, has been paid to cancer prevention. Also pay attention to cleansing the body, using foods with sufficient hydration and with the ability to produce good humor in the body and convert the quality of blood into a relatively dilute aqueous blood, which is away from combustible (or oxidized) substances to help improve the condition of cancer patients.
