Reading is one of the basic communication skills which has a complex process. It is a process in which the reader finds the information provided by the writer in written form. Reading is a source to get information and can increase readers' vocabulary. It's very closely applied to other language processes such as listening, speaking, and writing. So, reading is better understood when it is considered as a language process. The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of active and passive structures on English language reading comprehension. To aim this purpose, ۵۰ participants, who were learning the English language in Ilam English language institutions, were randomly selected. To analyze the obtained data SPSS software version ۲۶ was used. The results indicated that active and passive structures aren't equally comprehended and there's a significant difference between the comprehension of active and passive structures. The English language learners comprehend active structure better than passive structure.
