چکیده مقاله:

The aim of this study is twofold: first the aim is to propose fuzzy multi-criteria decision making approach (FMCDM) to ranking the alternatives to help users have appropriate choice, for this purpose two FMCDM methods are proposed for solving problem. Second compare these two approaches. Because of ambiguity of human thought, obtaining crisp values of numbers are difficult. So the fuzzy set approach is applied. For the ranking process in fuzzy environment, two MCDM approaches, fuzzy Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (FTOPSIS) and FVIKOR are applied in numerical example. The problem that consider in this study is ranking ten popular internet browsers according to five criteria include: speed and compatibility, feature set, security, help and support and ease of use. The result concluded from numerical example show similarity and differences of these two methods. Also the result shows that both of these two methods are appropriate for ranking internet browsers.
