Comparative study and analysis of asphalt pavement design of Asphalt Institute,Transport Road Research Laboratory and Shell Company

Asphalt pavement design have been presented in recent years by reputable research centers, each of which has its own methods for constructing asphalt pavement, which includes calculations based on the amount of traffic, type of road use and environmental conditions. The purpose of the pavement design is to prepare and execute the pavement with the lowest price so that this pavement can withstand the anticipated traffic during the life of the required plan. With the development of cities and increasing urbanization, the need to develop roads using the best designs with a long useful life became necessary. In the meantime, developed countries have presented designs for paving roads. Each of which has its advantages and disadvantages. With the advancement of asphalt technology in recent years, which includes the identification and application of new materials in asphalt, new control tests, and finally a better understanding of the causes of road failures, has led major research centers around the world to find new ways to produce road pavement. In this study, pavement designs presented by three reputable centers were compared and analyzed, each of which suggested reliable methods for the production and implementation of pavement, which is important.
