Permeability Analysis on Layout Plan of Linxia Grand Theatre Building of China

This paper discusses the space syntax analysis within the levels of permeability and wayfinding of Linxia grand theatre of China, to explain how the spatial layout of theatrehall building typology influences the way of using them. Through a qualitative method this study investigates the theatre hall typology, its challenges and levels of permeability of people throw building floor plans and its implications on audience wayfinding and the movements through the case study with labelling spaces and tabulation in a measurable scale graph figures. The objective of this paper is to investigate theatre hall building typology, its spatial configuration and space relation throw space syntax analysis by measurable graphs and the levels of permeability using Likert scale table to identify and criticize the planning of this typology. From the research we conclude that the planning of theatre hall typology based on its characteristics and different types of users is facing serious challenges could be solved by logical space syntax and more accuracy of wayfinding which is crucial in this typology.
