چکیده مقاله:

Today, one of the most important political and social challenges of countries is the issue of water, which plays an important and strategic role in the international relations and economic power of countries. The management of water resources and water supply for drinking, agriculture, industry, services, green space, etc., is an essential element of a country's life and economic independence, and inattention to it can lead to social crises. Climate change, limited water resources, and growing population have increased the need for development projects in the water industry. Traditional methods of project management in the construction projects of this industry have caused serious challenges and problems and have reduced efficiency and productivity, increased costs, and significant delays in projects, so the managers of this industry should use new tools and management methods in projects. Building Information Modeling (BIM) is one of the new technologies that its applications in construction industry projects have led to more efficient management and improved productivity in the project life cycle. The use of this technology in construction projects in the water industry has many benefits that can lead to the sustainable development of infrastructure in this industry. The successful implementation of BIM in this industry is significantly dependent on government policies to promote this culture by developing the Required roadmap, standards, and guidelines.
