The use of renewable energy has been discussed widely in the world. This paper analyzes the requirements for optimal operation and inspection of grid-connected solar parking systems. Requirements for power quality, fault detection and protection requirements explained. A case study ۵۰.۴ kW solar parking on East Azarbaijan in Iran is investigated. The optimum operation conditions are examined according to standard IEC-۶۲۴۴۶. Total harmonic distortion (THD), voltage and frequency distortion measurement in this project evaluated and results are compared with existing standard value. Most of the high-voltage DC circuit protection, transient over voltage and earth systems in these networks for grid-connected photovoltaic system are presented. To evaluate the performance and optimal operation of the project, several tests are recommended. PV array insulation resistance test, string open circuit voltage test, string short circuit current test, operational test, AC and DC circuit special considerations, infrared (IR) camera inspection. The purpose of an infrared camera inspection is to detect unusual temperature variations in operating PV modules in the field. Also, some common mistakes in installing solar panels has been investigated and to provide appropriate solutions to avoid repeating the mistakes of the photovoltaic system and improving them.
