چکیده مقاله:
Conventional approaches for the design of passivepower filter (PPF) depend on experiences and single technologycriterions which are difficult to achieve the optimal solution. In thispaper a Simplified Adaptive Step Length Bacterial Foragingalgorithm (S-ASBF) method is employed in the design of passivepower filters for a bus under abundant harmonic current sources.The objective is to minimize the cost of the filters, the filters loss, thetotal harmonic distortion of source current and to get the highestamount of reactive power that the system under study needs. Theresults of the illustrative example show the feasibility and moreaccuracy of S-ASBF method in optimal design of passive powerfilters in comparison with other well-known artificial intelligencealgorithms such as PSO method.
