Solar Water Heaters and its Applications; a Narrative Review

With increasing environmental problems, depletion of fossil fuel resources, increasing worldpopulation, and concomitant increase in demand for renewable energy, much attention hasbeen given to solar energy, which has the greatest potential among renewable energies. Theuse of solar energy to heat water consumption in buildings is an old but optimized andpromising technology. This article will describe solar thermal systems in detail. Next, thecomponents used to manufacture a solar water heater were reviewed. Furthermore, the solarcollectors, the heart of these systems, were specially studied, and their types were classified.Finally, several practical methods and ideas for increasing the performance of solar waterheaters that have been studied in recent years were reviewed.
