Knowledge, Attitude and Practice of Screening in People with Colorectal Cancer: A Systematic Review

Introduction and Aims: Colorectal cancer is the secondary most common cancer of both sexes with an average age between ۵۰ to ۸۰ years old. This cancer is associated with high mortality rate that Proper knowledge and practice of screening could extremely effective in reducing mortality. This article examines knowledge, attitude and practice challenges in patients with colorectal cancer.Materials and Methods:: The study reviews the latest Iranian and foreign articles. In Persian language bases, MagiRan, SID, NoorMags and Google Scholar articles were searched from ۱۳۸۰ to the present to two pages. In English-language sites, Web of Science, Google Scholar, Science Direct and PubMed articles are searched from ۲۰۰۰ to ۲۰۲۰ to two pages.Result: Finally, ۴۲ related articles were found. colorectal cancer screening rate was very low and educational level, age, Visit Health Centers and income were the effective factors. Most people with colorectal cancer says that ((we know anything about colorectal screening)). Studies have also reported positive results from KAP (knowledge, attitude and practice) clinical trials.Conclusion: screening is a low-cost and reliable way of diagnosing colorectal cancer that There are few public knowledges about it. Interventional studies are recommended to increase awareness and improve attitude.
