چکیده مقاله:

ADHD is one of the most common neurodevelopmental disorders of childhood. It is often lasts into adulthood and have been see in athletes. Athletes with ADHD may have trouble paying attention, controlling impulsive behaviors, or be overly active, in reference to what the situation requires. The aim of this study was the effect of physical activity and playing video games on decision-making in athletes with ADHD.The study was a quasi-experimental study with a pre, post and follow-up design with a control group. The statistical population of the study was ۶۰ athletes with ADHD from ۱۰ to ۱۴ years old in ۲۰۲۱ in Tehran province. Of these, ۴۵ students were randomly selected and divided into three groups control and experimental. Subjects were evaluated three times (pretest, posttest, and follow up) with Stroop Test. Then, they received ۱۵ minutes of intervention in ten sessions. The control group did not receive any interventions during this period. The Stroop Test (CPT) were conducted after the intervention and one month after the intervention, respectively, as the posttest and follow-up. Also, to test the hypothesis, Repeated Measures Analysis of Variance, Bonferroni test and Spss ۲۱ software at the significance level of ۰.۰۵ were used. The results of decision-making scores showed a significant difference between the three groups in the three stages of measurement (P =۰.۰۰۰۱). Bonferroni showed a significant difference between groups in decision-making (P=۰.۰۰۰۱). On the other hand, the results show that, video game and physical activity improved decision-making in the two experimental group, but no change was observed in the decision-making of the control group. It can be concluded that physical activity and Video games improves the decision-making of athletes with ADHD.
