Currently, technology in human life is one of the requirements of a healthy lifestyle. Mobile or smartphones are among the highest usage devices in the modern era. Today, there are ۵.۲۹ billion smartphone users, and the total number of users in the past ۱۲ months grew by ۹۷ million people, and also the number of smartphones in use is increasing at an annual rate of almost ۶%, with an average of close to ۱ million new smartphones coming into daily use. These devices have accelerated human lives, but the quality of lifestyle has been decreased due to a reduced level of physical activity. However, there is growing attention in the specific software, application, and smartphones equipment’s to improve the lifestyle. Some devices can measure physiological variables such as oxygen consumption, rating of perceived exertion, heart rate, or even distance running and attitude. Sports that use more new technology include cycling, athletics, and swimming. But, there are a few more sports that are using these kinds of technologies too. Too many aware coaches design the training sessions based on them. Hence, any activity can be monitored via different technologies. The results are scientifically significant, and the data can be analyzed by physicians and sports coaches to enhance the quality of lifestyle. The idea of using smartphones during any activity has helped companies to design and apply the latest technology to produce more useful devices. In addition, the importance of using these devices and facilities increased during the COVID-۱۹ pandemic. This article provides a summary of smartphone use in exercise and recognizes healthy software that coaches might realize useful.
