چکیده مقاله:

Breast cancer (BC) is the most prevalent cancer worldwideand accounts for ۲۲.۸% of female cancers. Moreover, aberrant DNA methylation is significantly associated withbreast cancer. This study was performed to show the noninvasiverole of methylation genes as indicators for diagnosticof breast cancer. This review was conducted using keywords such as BreastCancer, Biomarker, methylated genes, diagnosis, andprognosis in PubMed, Scopus, Medline, Science Direct, andWeb of Science based on Cochrane Highly Sensitive SearchStrategy. In this paper, breast cancer datasets revealed ۲۳ significantdifferentially methylation sites corresponding to ۹ distinctgenes. ADCY۴, CPXM۱, DNM۳, GNG۴, MAST۱, mir۱۲۹-۲,PRDM۱۴, and ZNF۱۷۷ were hypermethylated among thenine genes examined. The AUC for the combined signature ofseven genes (ADCY۴, CPXM۱, DNM۳, GNG۴, MAST۱,PRDM۱۴, and ZNF۱۷۷) was ۰.۹۹۹۸ [۹۵% CI ۰.۹۹۹۴–۱.۰],and for the combined signature of three genes (MAST۱,PRDM۱۴, and ZNF۱۷۷) was ۰.۹۹۹۱ [۹۵% CI ۰.۹۹۷۶–۱.۰].MAST۱, PRDM۱۴, and ZNF۱۷۷ were found to have goodsensitivity, specificity, and accuracy in detecting breastcancer in further validation studies.
