چکیده مقاله:

Background and Aim : A study was performed in the Persian capital province of Tehran to assessfrequency of Para tuberculosis in its operating cattle farms. Methods : . As many as ۸,۰۰۰ cows were screened by a home-made ELISA system. Milkspecimens were collected from detected reactor to perform confirmatory PCR-۱۶srRNA, PCRIS۹۰۰and PCR IS۱۳۱۱ experiments plus bacterial culture on specific media in search forMycobacterium avium subsp Para tuberculosis (MAP).Results : While among the ۲۵ ELISA positive animals, eight cases produced positive results inPCRs only three appeared positive in MAP isolation. In deduction, we assume when it comes toselection of control measures against PtbConclusion : in an environment with presumably high prevalence of Ptb like Tehran, ELISA is amuch more sensible detection system compared to the zero false-positive method of bacterialculture.
