چکیده مقاله:

Objective: Follicular fluid (FF) is a liquid composed primarilyof hormones, enzymes, anticoagulants, electrolytes, reactiveoxygen species and antioxidants. The aim this study to describethe possible effects of human follicular fluid on the sperm parametersafter cryopreservation processMaterial and Methods: Samples of ۲۰ patients with asthenotratospermiareferred to Qom University Jihad InfertilityTreatment Center were evaluated in three groups: before cryopreservation(control), cryopreservation, cryopreservation +Follicular fluid (FF). The Sperm parameters such as motility, morphology, and viability were assessed using WHO, Papanicolaou, and eosin-necrosin staining, respectively, to evaluatethe integrity of the plasma membrane using the HOST technique,as well as to evaluate the degree of DNA fracture by theHalo sperm technique. Results: The results showed that incubation of Follicularfluid (FF) with freezing medium of sperm (cryopreservation+ Follicular fluid (FF)) increases sperm motility and viability(P <۰.۰۵). Also, a significant increase in sperm motility wasachieved after incubation of Follicular fluid (FF) with spermsample (cryopreservation + Follicular fluid (FF)) (P <۰.۰۵). Theresults of the present study showed that incubation of Follicularfluid (FF) with freezing medium of sperm significantly reducesthe amount of DNA damage (P <۰.۰۵). Plasma membrane integrityand sperm mitochondrial membrane potential also in creased significantly in cryopreservation + Follicular fluid (FF)group (P <۰.۰۵). However, sperm morphology did not show asignificant difference (P <۰.۰۵).Conclusion: Our results show that Follicular fluid (FF) can reducethe destructive effects of the freeze-thaw process
