چکیده مقاله:

Background: Polycys tic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is an endocrinedisorder in women of childbearing age and the mos t commoncause of infertility without ovulation. MicroRNAs (miRNAs)are short, non-coding RNAs involved in regulating geneexpression at the pos t-transcriptional level. In recent years, there has been increasing evidence that abnormal expression ofmiRNAs in granulosa, leukocytes, adipose tissue, serum, andperipheral blood leukocytes is diagnosed in women with polycystic ovary syndrome and plays a crucial role in the developmentand progression of PCOS. This s tudy inves tigated the expressionof miRNAs in granulosa cells and their role in PCOS.Materials and Methods: Firs t, the keywords PCOS and granulosacells were searched in the GEO DataSets database, andthe data of GSE۸۴۳۷۶ were selected from the GEO DataSetsdatabase. Their results were also reviewed and analyzed in thePubmed database. Results: Considering the P value<۰.۰۵ and Log_۲ FC>۳, miRNAshas-miR-۳۱۸۸ and has-miR-۱۲۳۱ showed the greates tchange in expression in patients with PCOS compared withcontrols. Conclusion: The results of this s tudy indicate that increasedexpression of some miRNAs may play a role in the developmentand progression of PCOS and that miRNAs can be used asbiomarkers for the diagnosis of PCOS patients in healthy women. However, further in vivo and in vitro s tudies on their role inPCOS are needed. This may also lead to a new unders tanding ofthe mechanism of PCOS and may be helpful in identifying newmiRNA therapeutic targets.
