Technical Analysis of Dam Construction (CaseStudy: Kurit Dam)

To accurately evaluate the behavior of large projects such as dams, it is necessary to calculate the parameters affecting it and model it. Dams built in the history of Iran show the ability of Iranian engineers in calculating and analyzing forces as well as suitable materials.In this research, with a technical perspective, the hydraulic and structural analysis of Kurit Dam in Iran is investigated. Parameters obtained from the analysis of the project include the nature and material of the dam and its foundation, determining the dimensions of the dam, the volume of the dam reservoir, the various forces acting on the dam and its supports, reliability, vertical stress created in the foundation, length Chords of different arcs and central economic angles using the principles and principles of dam engineering.In this paper, it is not enough to analyze the dam in terms of existing parameters and due to its historical antiquity and recent engineering developments, a comparison is made between the design of this project based on existing materials and materials of that time, which presents the results. And comparison with the main structure of the dam shows this historic structure is very valuable and should be protected in various ways, including the construction of a concrete dam in upstream.
