The concept of impact in civil engineering structures

In the real world, shocks from low heights to bridges to heavy shocks on protective structures such as trenches, and even the protective structure of nuclear power plants have been the focus of many researchers. The impulse loads discussed in the present study are an important class of dynamic stimuli that consist essentially of a single pulse. Studies on impacted reinforced concrete members by measuring the parameters of acceleration, velocity, strain and displacement try to relate the behavior of these members to the static state by experimental relations or the behavior of the beam in the main dynamic loading means to predict an earthquake.
