A review of studies in the field of evaluation of safety culture & safety climate in Iran's industrial

Objective: Various studies have shown that the main causes of most workplace accidents are unsafe behaviors that usually occur in a work environment with inadequate safety management and safety culture. The purpose of this study is a brief review of studies that have examined the safety culture and safety climate of industries in Iran.Methods: This review study focuses on systematically searching articles from ۲۰۰۹ to ۲۰۱۹ in Google Scholar, SID, Magiran, Science Direct, and PubMed databases using safety culture, safety climate, industries, and Iran keywords. The titles and abstracts of articles containing relevant results were extracted over the past ۱۰ years. Then, they were categorized and analyzed according to the title of the article, year of publication, place of publication, type of industry, place of research, the field of study, and method of evaluation.Results: The results showed that what is observed in selected articles is that establishment of positive safety culture and safety climate by providing high-quality safety training and implementing appropriate engineering and managerial interventions can boost the workers’ awareness of the existing hazards in the work environment.Conclusion: Creating a positive culture and climate safety in the organization avoids unsafe practices and ultimately reduces human errors and accidents.
