Investigation on Autism and Treatments Methods

Autism is a complex mental development disorder that usually occurs in the first ۳ years of a person's life. It seems that a disorder in the nervous system that causes the brain to not function properly is effective in causing this disease. This disorder in autistic patients makes the brain unable to function properly in terms of social behaviors and communication skills. Autistic children and adults have problems in verbal and non-verbal communication, social behaviors, fun activities and games. Autism is one of the five diseases that are collectively called "developmental disorders" or "PDD" for short. These five diseases are: autism, Asperger's disorder, childhood attention deficit disorder, Rett's disorder, and pervasive developmental disorders that do not meet the criteria of the mentioned diseases. Each of these diseases has its own recognition criteria, which are specified by the American Psychological Association. In this paper we talked about “TEACCH”, “Floor Time”, “Play Therapy” and “Speech Therapy” treatments methods and comparison advantages and disadvantages of each other.
