چکیده مقاله:

Background and purpose; Pregnancy is one of the most important stages and experiences of life. which requires a lot of attention and care in order to ensure the health of the fetus by maintaining the physical health of the mother. The key factor in ensuring the health of mother and child is the nutrition of mothers during pregnancy. It is necessary to receive all kinds of food in the right amount to meet the needs of mother and fetus. Adequate intake of food and knowledge of appropriate and correct nutrition is effective on the health of the mother and fetus on the one hand and on the outcome of pregnancy on the other hand. This study was conducted with the aim of determining the role of nutrition in pregnancy . method; The relevant information was searched from Pub Med, Google scholar, SID databases, and the analysis of the data was done qualitatively. findings ; Mother's nutrition has a direct relationship with her success in fertility, pregnancy, childbirth, as well as taking care of the health, growth and development of the fetus. The benefits of healthy nutrition for the fetus include: helping the baby to have the right weight at birth, fully strengthening the brain of the fetus, reducing the risk of contracting some diseases, such as neural tube defects, and influencing the proper nutritional pattern of the child after birth. The benefits of healthy nutrition for the mother include: reducing the risk of some pregnancy problems (such as anemia, gestational diabetes, pre-eclampsia, etc.) reducing the risk of some pregnancy complications (morning nausea, fatigue, constipation, etc.) creating balance In the mental states of the mother, it is prevention of premature birth and faster weight loss after childbirth. Improper nutrition during pregnancy causes poor maternal health and its consequences can include: delayed intrauterine growth, miscarriage, premature birth, especially low birth weight, diseases such as non-insulin-dependent diabetes, kidney diseases, High blood pressure and other diseases related to the heart and blood vessels. Therefore, nutrition during pregnancy has a direct impact on the health of the mother and child, and following a healthy diet during pregnancy is mandatory. Conclusion; following special pregnancy diets in accordance with a person's physical condition reduces various complications caused by nutritional deficiencies of mother and child. Also, lack of variety in the diet plan of most pregnant women has led to insufficient intake of some micronutrients, and therefore Rotakid is recommended for proper training during routine pregnancy care by the health staff.
