Investigating the role and position of architectural engineers in the designprocess and evaluating the factors affecting it using factor analysis andDelphi method

The problem of this research is to clarify the role and place of architectural engineering in the present era by identifying thestructure of the profession in the world and in Iran, so that based on that, decisions can be made about the future of this part ofthe structure of the profession in Iran and the second problem is to identify the indics and factors affecting the design, tracethe main indics and identify the factors affecting the design in order to improve the work process of the design engineers.According to its nature, this research has been classified as applied research. This article has two goals, which are different foreach research method. The first goal is in the structural framework of the country, which is used based on the logicalfoundations of qualitative research and based on the interpretative approach and interrogative strategy, and with the methodof oriented qualitative content analysis and the context-based research method. At the end, factors have been determined tocheck the factors affecting the design process of framework architecture. These factors have been used based on thecomparative method and the logical argument method and have been prepared and adjusted based on semi-structuredinterviews with experts, employers and university professors. Finally, they have been compared and the factors have beentracked and the second goal of the article is "tracing and prioritizing factors affecting the performance of architectural engineersin the process of architectural design (factor identification or indexing)" which the factors identified from the previous stephave been compiled in the form of a questionnaire and have been sent to ۳۵۴ architects in Telegram groups of the engineeringsystem. It has been done by the method of factor analysis (indexing) and in the next step, a questionnaire has been prepared toprioritize and evaluate the people and variables affecting the design process using the Delphi test and it has been sent to ۱۲experts for scoring, and the results have been analyzed using SPSS software and the load of each factor has been identified,tracked and valued.
