This work aims to study the hydrogen evolution from the TiH۲ powder coated by electroless Ni-P alloy layer. The behavior was studied at the temperature of ۱۲۰۰ oC. A one-pot electroless technique from a solution, containing nickel chloride, sodium hypophosphite, and sodium succinate was adopted to provide a layer of Ni-P on the TiH۲ powders. The surface morphology and chemical composition of the electroless deposited Ni-P layer were studied using field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), respectively. The EDS results showed that the Ni-P coated TiH۲ powders contain ۹۷.۵ wt.% Ti, ۱.۵۲ wt.% Ni, and ۰.۳۲ wt.% P. The FESEM image shows the porosities are formed over the powders surface when they are heat-treated at ۱۲۰۰ oC.
