چکیده مقاله:

Faster growth rate and ease of extraction of secondary metabolites from endophytic fungi cause toconsider them in commercial industry. Paclitaxel and its derivatives that are widely used inchemotherapy are a good example from produced secondary metabolites by variety species of fungi.Previous studies showed endophytic fungi had potential to production of different taxanesmetabolites in liquid cultures. Regard to the fact that the harvesting time is critical in thepharmaceutical industry for optimizing production, the present study was conducted to evaluate theeffect of PDB (a general medium) and LS (as a rich medium) on taxanes production in differentgrowth stages of Cryptosporiopsis tarraconensis, Melanconium hedericola, Neopestalotiopsis vitis. These fungi were endophytic fungi isolated from C. avellana and able to taxanes. biosynthesis. Theresults showed the most biomass production in LS medium in earlier periods. The change of myceliagrowth was not significant from ۹ to ۲۱ days in PDB medium while the most taxan production wereachieved after ۲۱ days. The results showed a close association of natural product biosynthesis withprimary metabolism, and confirmed again that under high growth conditions, receiving differentsignalling molecules from the medium triggers various signalling cascades and results in higher andfaster production of taxanes.
