چکیده مقاله:

The green spaces of cities are created by humans with all kinds of native and non-native vegetationto increase the quality of life and provide special services to citizens. Since there are various climatesin Iran, its plant diversity is desirable. This research was carried out by reviewing library informationand field research in order to prepare a list of species and cultivars planted in Qom municipality.Also, a questionnaire was prepared by interviewing the experts of the Parks and Green SpaceOrganization of Qom Municipality. The results of examining the ecological conditions, the presenceof some species natively in similar areas and the history of cultivation of some medicinal plants inthe studied area showed that some species of medicinal plants are suitable for planting in the parksand green spaces of Qom city. The importance of medicinal plants is due to their high adaptability.Also, medicinal plants are diverse in terms of color, shape, size and compatibility. "Multipurposeservices" are provided by using medicinal plants in the urban green space. The selection of plantsaccording to the ecological conditions of the region increases the success rate of the project and theflexibility of the plan. The presence of medicinal plants in the urban green space is a sign of theclimatic ability and cultural suitability of the region
