Industry ۴.۰ is revolutionizing the way steel is produced and processed. Advancedtechnologies such as artificial intelligence, big data analytics, and the Internet of Things areenabling steel makers to achieve greater efficiency, productivity, and safety in theiroperations. This article explores the potential benefits of Industry ۴.۰ for the steel makingindustry, as well as the challenges and opportunities associated with its adoption. The articlebegins by discussing the principles and technologies that underpin Industry ۴.۰, includingcyber-physical systems, cloud computing, and data analytics.
