Psychometric Properties of Personlity Inventory for ICD-۱۱: Adaptation, Reliability, Validity, and Factorial Structure in an Iranian Sample

Introduction: The personality inventory for ICD-۱۱ (PiCD-۱۱) was developed in line with the introduction of the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-۱۱). This study aimed to investigate adaptation, validity, reliability, and factor structure of the PiCD-۱۱ in an Iranian sample.
Material & Methods: Participants in this study were (۶۷.۶% female, ۳۲.۸% clinical sample) ۴۱۷ students from state universities in Tehran. They were requested to complete the paper-based forms of the Personality Inventory for ICD-۱۱ (PiCD-۱۱), the Short form of Personality inventory fo DSM-۵ (PID- ۵-BF), as well as the Big Five Inventory (very brief for, BFI-۱۰).
Findings: Cronbach's alpha coefficient for five factors of the PiCD ranged from ۰.۷۳ (dissocial) to ۰.۸۲ (negative affectivity). The inventory domains also had a significant correlation (P=۰.۰۰۱) with PID-۵-BF and BFI-۱۰ scales. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis also confirmed the five-factor structure and optimal fit of the model related to the PiCD.
Discussion & Conclusion: The ۶۰-item inventory based on the International Classification of Diseases (PiCD-۱۱) has good reliability and validity, and can be used for various clinical and research purposes in Iran for the Persian speaking population.
