چکیده مقاله:
Background: Diabetes mellitus is a common metabolic disorder that involves several organs and has chronic vascular and non-vascular complications. Objective: This study aimed to find out the effectiveness of self-compassion training on psychological symptoms and self-care in patients with type ۲ diabetes.Methods: The method of this study was semi-experimental with pre-test and post-test design with the control group. The statistical population of the study consisted of all patients with type ۲ diabetes from diabetes association and hospitals in Gilangharb city in ۲۰۲۰, among which ۳۰ patients (self-compassion training and control group) were selected using a convenience sampling method. Data were collected using Psychological Symptoms Questionnaire and Tobert and Glasgow self-care questionnaires. Data were analyzed using multivariate and univariate analysis of covariance tests by SPSS.۲۲. Results: The results showed that self-compassion training was effective on psychological symptoms (P<۰.۰۱) and self-care (P<۰.۰۱) in patients with type ۲ diabetes. Conclusion: It can be concluded that self-compassion training was effective on psychological symptoms and self-care in patients with type ۲ diabetes and it can be effective as an efficient treatment method to improve psychological problems in patients with type ۲ diabetes.
