چکیده مقاله:

زمینه و اهداف: در مطالعات بر نقش حیاتی مدیریت اطلاعات در آینده آموزش و پژوهش در آموزش عالی تاکید شده است. در این مقاله سعی بر آن است که ساختار مدیریت اطلاعات آموزشی در مراکز آموزش عالی علوم پزشکی به منظور بهبود کیفیت اطلاعات و کسب اطلاعات و ارتقای مدیریت دانشگاهی تبیین گردد. روش بررسی: در این مطالعه مروری منابع از پایگاه های اطلاعاتی داخلی و خارجی نظیر «نور، پابمد (PubMed) و الزویر (Elsevier)» با کلمات کلیدی  ترکیبی از قبیل مدیریت اطلاعات و information management از سال ۲۰۰۰ تا ۲۰۱۷ به فارسی و انگلیسی بازیابی و با منابع چاپی ۸۷ مورد مرتبط دسته بندی شد. در انتخاب مقالات و منابع محدودیتی از نظر نوع آن ها اعمال نشد.  یافته ها: طبق یافته ها، درک نیازها و الزامات اطلاعات گام مهمی در تدوین استراتژی اطلاعات و مدیریت دانش و تدوین ابزارها برای فراهم کردن خدمات اطلاعات و ترویج خلاقیت و نوآوری است. مدیریت اطلاعات اثربخش شرط ضروری برای توسعه اجتماعی و اقتصادی است. کارکرد مدیریت اطلاعات به تمام جنبه های مدیریت کردن اطلاعات مربوط می شود. اطلاعات و روش مدیریت آن باید موجب بهره وری جامعه دانشگاه شود. نیازهای اطلاعاتی ذی نفعان باید برآورده شود. یافته ها حول مدیریت اطلاعات آموزشی دانشگاه و سه محور اصلی گردآوری، پردازش و ارائه داده ها دسته بندی شد. نتیجه گیری: برای برقراری سه مرحله اصلی مدیریت اطلاعات شامل گردآوری، پردازش و انتشار داده ها در دانشگاه های علوم پزشکی باید بسترسازی شود. سیستم ها و خدمات اطلاعات باید برای اقدام به روشی که متمرکز بر کاربر و وظایف باشد، طراحی یا بازطراحی شود.
