Investigating the negative effects of villages near cities on uneven expansion and informal settlement(Case study of Do Asb village near Zanjan city)

One of the unstable areas of urban development, especially in third world countries, is informal settlement. This type of settlement requires special measures to organize the current situation and prevent its expansion in the future. Among the factors that cause problems in physical development for cities are villages near big cities that attract immigrants and low-income groups and become a place with non-standard residential development. Considering the importance of the topic, the aim of this study is to investigate the negative effects of villages near cities on uneven expansion and informal settlement (case study of Do Asb village in Zanjan city). The research method is descriptive-analytical and two survey and library methods were used to collect data. The findings show that due to its proximity to Zanjan city, which is ۴ kilometers north of Zanjan city, as well as the low price of land and housing, this village has enjoyed high growth and expansion, and rural immigrants and low-income groups They are more welcome to live in this village. Since there is no physical barrier between this village and the city of Zanjan, in the future one of the threats will be uneven development and the expansion of informal settlements in the city of Zanjan. It is suggested that proper planning should be done for the village of Do Asb in order to control the growth and expansion of the illegal and to prevent the expansion of informal settlement in Zanjan city.
