Background: The relationship between anthropometrical and physiological parameters with running time is important. We aimed to investigate relationship between anthropometrical and physiological parameters with running time of elite girls. Materials and Methods: In this cross-sectional study, subjects were selected from ۱۹۷ elite runner girls, ۱۴-۱۶ years old, participated in the national championship of the country selection ۲۰۱۹ in Ardabil, Iran. All anthropometrical and physiological parameters (such as length of limbs and strength) were measured with appropriate and reliable tools. Pearson correlation coefficient was used to examine the relationships between variables. Results: There was a significant negative relationship between trunk­ flexibility (r=-۰.۴۴۸, P=۰.۰۲۲), left hand strength (r=-۰.۴۴۵, P=۰.۰۲۳), and left leg strength (r=-۰.۴۷۲, P=۰.۰۱۵) with ۶۰m time; hip length (r=-۰.۵۰۴, P=۰.۰۱۰) with ۴۰۰m time; between head circumference (r=-۰.۵۷۱, P=۰.۰۰۴), forearm length (r=-۰.۴۳۵, P=۰.۰۳۵), and static balance (r=-۰.۴۵۴, P=۰.۰۲۶) with ۸۰۰m time; between arm length (r=-۰.۴۱۱, P=۰.۰۴۱), hip circumference (r=-۰.۴۸۷, P=۰.۰۱۴), leg length (r=-۰.۵۰۹, P=۰.۰۰۹), hand length (r=-۰.۵۹۵, P=۰.۰۰۲), and length jump (r=-۰.۴۸۲, P=۰.۰۱۵) with ۱۵۰۰m time; between wrist circumference (r=-۰.۴۳۹,P=۰.۰۴۱) and ۳۰۰۰m  time; between arm length (r=-۰.۴۲۰, P=۰.۰۲۶), and leg length (r=-۰.۴۳۴, P=۰.۰۲۱) with ۴×۱۰۰m relay race  time. Whereas there was a significant positive relationship between trunk circumference at hip (r=۰.۴۶۲, P=۰.۰۲۰), and ۴۰۰m time; between length jump (r=۰.۴۰۸, P=۰.۰۴۸), and ۸۰۰m time; between palm length (r=۰.۴۸۱, P=۰.۰۱۵) and ۱۵۰۰m (n=۲۵) time; between dynamic balance (lateral) (r=۰.۴۵۵, P=۰.۰۳۳) and ۳۰۰۰m time; between trunk circumference at hip (r=۰.۳۹۴, P=۰.۰۳۸), and ۴×۱۰۰m relay race time. Conclusion: Based on the results, there was a significant relationship between anthropometrical and physiological parameters with running time. Therefore, it´s recommended that coaches pay attention to the results of this study to select and substitute talented runners to gain greater success in reaching the peak of athletic performance.
