During ۲۰۱۴, it has been conducting an annual study to calculate the concentrations of dust falling through the collection (۷۲) sample in six different locations in the province of Basra, namely, (۱) Khor Al-Zubair (۲) Abu Al-Khaseeb (۳) Al-Ashar (۴), Fao (۵) Qurna (۶) Hay alkhaleej. It found that the highest rate of dust falling during the study period in the hay alkhaleej site has reached (۲۱.۲۸۹۶ gm / m۲ / month), while the Iraqi National Standards for ambient air quality has reached (۱۰ gm / m۲ / month) which was higher than the Iraqi Standards by ۲.۱۲۸۹ once. The study also showed a high concentration of Total Suspended Particles (T.S.P) during the second half of the month (July _December) of ۲۰۱۴. During this period the collection (۲۴) sample at a single site in Basra's city center, where the concentration of Total Suspended Particles rate (۱۰۵۳.۹۸۶۶۷ Mg / m۳) which exceeded the amount of Iraqi standards (۳۵۰ Mg / m۳) that is higher than any Iraqi standards by ۳.۰۱۱۳ times. While it was noted that the average lead (pb) concentration in the study site in the city of Basra Center . (۰.۰۴۱۸ Mg / m۳) which is less than the Iraqi National Standards for Ambient Air Quality.
