چکیده مقاله:

In the past decade, diversity-oriented synthesis (DOS) has emerged as a useful tool forinterfacing of the fields of organic synthesis and chemical biology [۱].Today, a major challenge ofDOS is the synthesis of multifunctionalized compounds starting from simple common startingmolecules especially those synthetic analogues one which found in natural products orpharmaceutical compounds.Behindes, modern synthetic design demands high efficiency in terms of minimization ofsynthetic steps together with maximization of complexity. Hence, one of the best means to achievethese goals is the development and use of multicomponent reactions (MCRs) which products areformed in a single step and diversity can be achieved simply by varying the reaction components[۲-۴]. MCRs are leading to interesting heterocyclic scaffolds like chromenes and ۴H-pyran nucleuswhich are probably the most well-known classes of heterocyclic compounds which can widelyderive from plants including vegetables and fruits and also it can display significant biologicalactivities such as anticoagulant, anti cancer, anti oxidant, anti fungal, anti microbial and so on [۵-۹].In the past several years, our groups and others developed various multicomponent reactionsthat can offer easy access to functionalized ۴H-pyran structures of chemical and pharmaceuticalinterest. Herein, we have described a facile and three-component method for the synthesis ofperimidino pyrane by the reaction of two equivalents of barbituricacide and aromatic aldehydes inthe mild reaction conditions in the presence of CAN as a catalyst and without any tedious work up.
