چکیده مقاله:

Waste heat recovery is recognized as one of the methods to overcomethis energy saving issue. In this paper, the Brayton Cycle has beenintroduced for the waste heat recovery. The main objective of the studyis to convert the unused heat into useful power, which could reduce thefuel consumption and also minimize the harmful exhaust transmission. Athermodynamic model of the waste heat recovery cycle is developed andvalidated. The eventual results depict that the amount of power producedby the turbine cycle of the turbofan engine cycle and the carbon dioxideengine turbines is ۱۲۵۴۸ kW. Also, the energy and exergy efficiency ofthe system were obtained as ۴۰.۱۷% and ۸۰.۳۵%, respectively. As theinlet temperature of the high-pressure turbine of the turbofan engineincreases, the energy and exergy efficiency as well as the amount ofexergy destruction decreases. By increasing the pressure ratio of thehigh-pressure compressor of the turbofan engine, the energy efficiencyand exergy of the system increases and the production power of the entiresystem decreases.
