چکیده مقاله:

Introduction: Liver cancer is often treatable but it can be difficultto treat, and it is the fifth most common cancer worldwide.There are different types of procedures of treatments; therefore,the present paper aims at reviewing them.Materials: The main procedures in order to treat the canceroriginating in the liver (primary liver cancer) are:Radiation therapy is a non-surgical alternative treatment generallyused to treat patients with advanced liver cancer.Surgery and partial liver resection is a surgical procedure inwhich that part of the liver containing the tumor is removed.Chemotherapy directly into the liver and cutting off the bloodsupply to the tumor (chemoembolization or tace) combinationor transarterial embolization tace with molecular drugs mayhold a great therapeutic potential.Heating the tumor directly (thermal ablation), radiofrequencyablation (RFA) or microwave ablation (MWA).Targeted cancer drugLiver transplant and hadron therapyThere are also many dietary natural products which could bepotential sources for prevention and treatment of liver cancer.Zedoary turmeric is potentially effective in the treatment. Surgeryand chemotherapy stand higher chances of effectivenessthan other treatment methods. In general, based on conditions,a unique treatment is chosen for each individual.Materials and Methods: The present study is a systematic reviewstudy to find relevant articles on google scholar/ pubmed/sid/ magiran/ science direct databases during the period from۲۰۱۶ to ۲۰۲۰. Finally ۱۶ studies were selected in accordancewith the research objectives.Results: Due to lack of targeted drugs and different treatments,the survival rate of liver cancer is extremely low, thus it is recommendedthat heath care workers inform people about the factthat prevention is better than treatment.
